The Tata Capital is India’s third-largest diversified NBFC by total gross loans, with a loan book of ₹2.33 trillion as of June 2025. The company’s business model is supported by a strong and diversified portfolio, with lending activities spanning both the retail and corporate sectors. Approximately 80% of its loan book is in secured segments & entities, which helps mitigate credit risk.
The Tata company has a consistent track record of growth, with its revenue from operations rising by 55.8% in FY25 and profit after tax climbing to ₹3,655 crore. This robust financial performance is supported by its top-tier AAA credit rating from domestic agencies, which gives it a significant advantage in accessing low-cost funds. Additionally, the recent merger with Tata Motors Finance Ltd. (TMFL) has further vehicle finance portfolio and expanded its pan-India presence to over 1,500 branches.
